Recently, Guy Fieri visited Louisiana, where he explored and indulged in some of the best local dining spots, showcasing them on his popular Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. This April, viewers can catch all three Baton Rouge eateries featured on the show.
Fieri and his team filmed the episodes in February while he was in Louisiana for Super Bowl events and other public appearances.
Over the next three Fridays, each of the featured restaurants will be showcased. All of them are located in Baton Rouge, and the episodes will air at 8:00 PM each Friday.
The first to be highlighted is Phil’s Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant, located at 4335 Perkins Road. The episode, titled "Flavortown Finds," dives into the local seafood scene, combining Creole crawfish with creamy cheesecake and grilling up some incredible oysters.
The following week, on April 11, Dempsey’s will take center stage in the episode "Sandwich Shenanigans." Located at 1380 Coursey Blvd, this Baton Rouge spot serves up classic Cajun dishes like boudin balls with remoulade, po-boys, and roast beef and shrimp dishes with a Creole flair.
Finally, Iverstine Farms Butcher, situated at 7731 Perkins Road, will be featured in an episode titled "Sandwiches, Seafood and Sweets." Fieri visits this farm-to-table gem, where they whip up mouthwatering Cuban sandwiches and get creative with headcheese.
During his visit, Guy Fieri expressed his admiration for Baton Rouge’s food scene, calling it one of the best, and praised the city’s warm, welcoming atmosphere. "You’ve got the greatest food scene. You’ve got the nicest people—a big, small town," he said.
